Working Wardrobes Red, White, Blue and You Gala

Working Wardrobes held its annual fundraising gala June 17th at the Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Coast, California.  The nonprofit organization has helped more than 90,000 individuals in Orange County transform their lives to become workforce ready. Celebrating our 27th year as well as the 5th Anniversary of VetNet, (which provides full wraparound job services for veterans) Mr. Harry Humphries was honored as a lifetime executive Director.  Gratitude was in the air, and, guests showed their support with net proceeds of $350,000.

The night’s festivities began with a silent auction on the terrace facing the ocean. The majestic presentation of colors by the Camp Pendleton First Marine Color Guard instilled a sense of patriotism and unity, and the elegant guests proudly sported their red, white and blue!

Board Chair Robert Hurley welcomed guests into the Pacific Ballroom for dinner and a program which included Don Wagner, the Mayor of the City of Irvine, who presented a city proclamation to Working Wardrobes. Other dignitaries shared their accolades with Jerri Rosen, founder/CEO, whose business has also been chosen for 2017 Irvine Non Profit of the Year.  There was not a dry eye in the house after hearing from Working Wardrobes client and Air Force veteran Dean Battaglia, who shared his poignant success story.  After an exciting live auction of adventures from around the world, guests continued to support our mission of getting more and more Working Wardrobes clients back to work!
