Global ER+ is actively seeking to fill a position for a repair/calibration technician in our RF calibration and repair lab located in Las Vegas.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in evaluating and repairing general purpose test and measurement equipment distinguished by demonstrated competence in executing measurements, performing routine repairs, performing calibrations in one or more discipline areas and detecting and resolving basic problems the field of RF/Microwave, Power, Frequency, AC/DC Volts and Resistance. Inspect, test and calibrate controlling indicating, and measuring instruments and devices to ensure specified operating performance. Performs complex repair and calibration of test equipment. Prepares calibration documentation in accordance with standards.


  • Reads quality control manual and testing specifications to obtain data to test or calibrate specific devices.
  • Evaluates calibration/repair jobs. Sets controls to regulate factors and activates test or calibration equipment.
  • Observes readings and performance of device or instrument to identify functional defects and determine calibration requirements. Adjusts instrument to obtain specified operational performance. Applies seals on calibration mechanism to prevent readjustment of settings and loss of calibration.
  • Repairs malfunctioning devices or routes to specified department for resolution
  • Prepares calibration certificates and data reports.
  • Troubleshoots instrument to component or board level to determine cause of defective operation.
  • Processes required service report paperwork, including database maintenance.
  • Locates and creates calibration procedures as necessary.
  • Assists in developing new product capabilities and standards.
  • Self manages repair/calibration workload to insure completion by targeted promise date.
  • Works with others on methods of resolving measurement problems and exchanges information with other metrology personnel
  • Adheres to company/customer safety procedures.
  • Must be a team player, organized, self-motivated and able to prioritize.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals along with writing routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with employees of the organization and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

Qualifications :

  • Associate degree or applicable technical training and certifications and 4 year of directly related experience. equivalent experience in lieu of degree Additional Qualifications:
  • Military PMEL/TMDE/Metrology training preferred.
  • Troubleshooting and Calibration of RF equipment
  • Experience with SURE CAL, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track, and Fluke Met/Cal software a plus.
  • Experience and ability to follow OEM service manuals for calibration and repairs
