From workshops, to fireworks to Mickey, we had a wonderful time with each of you. Our first day of the conference started with a meetings. In addition, we had a Business Roundtable and Early Bird Registration Workshop. We celebrated the evening at Epcot American Adventure Rotunda enjoying the Dapper Dan’s singing, food and refreshments.
Thursday we kicked off the day with Commander Lt. Col. Miranda and the Air Force Junior ROTC for the ribbon cutting ceremony. We leapt into workshops on Federal Acquisition Regulations, Cyber Security and Top Notch Capabilities Statement. Taking a nice lunch break at the Awards Banquet, we recognized our sponsors for their invaluable support. Bob Mulz was even dubbed his very own pair of Mickey ears! We then followed with a workshop on doing business with DLA, a presentation and discussion about the relationship between PTSD and fireworks, with the Best Practices Panel afterwards. Later, we were able to meet Mickey and Donald at our evening dinner where Chuck Forrest won the John Rak Award for his hard work and dedication to the organization. To end the night, we travelled over to Epcot American Adventure Rotunda for some dessert and fireworks display.
Last but not least, on Friday, SDVOBs could connect with companies and agencies for new opportunities during Business Matchmaking.
We truly thank everyone who attended the 14th Annual SDVOB National Conference. We are looking forward to seeing you next year at our 15th Annual National Conference in San Diego.
