Veterans Legal Institute (VLI) proudly announces its annual fundraising event, Lawyers for Warriors, raised over $100,000 to serve Veterans in need. Military service changes a life forever, and generous supporters made sure pro bono legal services will be accessible for homeless and low-income Veterans. The virtual event was held at 5:30 pm on November 9, 2020 and featured notable speakers and inspiring testimonials. All were a true reflection of the commitment to serve heroes in our communities. Wright Ford Young & Co. continued as the Title Sponsor. Special messages included former Secretary of Veterans Affairs Robert A. McDonald, Top Gun Producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Brigadier General Robin Umberg, UCI Law School Dean L. Song Richardson, Grammy nominated artist Jeffrey Osborne, and more. Honorees included Law Firm of the Year – Umberg Zipser LLP, Community Advocate of the Year – ProVisors, Veterans of the Year – “The Fab 4” of Bobby McDonald, Pete Seitz, Chase Wickersham, Steven Spriggs, and Attorney of the Year – Sherry Bragg.
